FOUNDER : Lyle Volkwyn

Before moving to the United States, he became a household name in South Africa after winning the national television show Popstars, which launched his career in music and entertainment. Over the years, he has traveled the world, performed internationally, and built strong relationships across both South Africa and the United States.

After the loss of his brother, Lyle became deeply committed to creating meaningful change in the communities he represents. During visits back home, he began spending time in schools and underserved communities, where he saw firsthand how many young people lacked access to basic health education, mentorship, and HIV prevention resources.

Those experiences led him to found Heal Africa Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to expanding HIV prevention education, youth empowerment, and community health initiatives across South Africa.
